Unit 3: Writing in the Humanities
This unit requires you to work effectively as an individual scholar, as well as collaboratively with your group. You are co-editing and contributing a chapter to an upcoming title in your publishing house’s “Companion to…” series. With your co-editors, you will digitally publish your new title.
Each chapter contributor (or, group member) will focus on a poem by the selected poet, and will write a chapter focusing on a theme or topic in that poem. For example, one might write about the importance of singing and song in Langston Hughes’ “I, Too.”
Poets to consider include, but are not limited to:
|Edgar Allen Poe
William Carlos Williams
Edna St. Vincent Millay
